||||| ST ISADORO, SAN ISIDRO, SAN YSIDRO PATRON OF FARMERS: (c. 1070 15 May 1130 of natural causes), These early religious medals from New Spain (Latin America) were lnfluenced by the sacramentals (medals) brought from Spain by the Religious who traveled with the early Exploreres to the new land. The local crafts people, in the process of reproducing these designs, took on the familiar styles of the traditions of the indigenous. In this process, they developed a folk art all their own. This rare form is inspired by the Spanish Baroque Period (late 16c - early 18c Europe)
