VOCATIONS: ST JOHN VIANNEY, PATRON OF PRIESTS

TRADITIONAL 9 BEAD CHAPLET

BEADS: Rich “Mala tree’ wood  capped with antiqued metal.

MEDAL:  VOCATIONS – (St Vianney – Cure; d’Ar’s) – France / 1800’s – (2 in.) Large, elegant medal of St John Vianney. On reverse side is Our Lady of the Rosary.

This chaplet is dedicated to the seminarian, the priest and those in the process of making the decision to enter the religious life. We need to pray for them, offer Mass for them, encourage them. We have shared the excellent guidelines used by Fr James Gould who broke records in the Arlington VA Diocese as a Vocations Director, through these direct and basic teachings.

YEAR FOR PRIESTS: WHO IS ST JOHN VIANNEY?

Beginning with the Solemnity of the Sacred Heart of Jesus June 19, 2009, Pope Benedict XVI has declared this the “Year for Priests. He made the special announcement that St John Vianney is the Universal Patron of Priests on this, the 150th anniversary of his death. The Cure de Ars is beloved by all who know of him.

What is a ‘NINER” chaplet?

Nine beads in sets of 3 each are prayed to ask for the saint shown to intercede for your prayer.  Pray 1 Our Father, 1 Hail Mary and 1 Glory Be.
