Description
FLEUR DE LYS/EUCHARIST CENTER: A very traditional symbol in French heraldry and art. Symbol of the Lily has very strong religious connotations, especially with the Virgin Mary, and later (in the 14th c.) with the Trinity. It also dates back to the 1100 in French heraldry. Seen on banners (Oriflamme) carried by royalty. Often used with Joan of Arc, the patron saint of France.
Part of our Equatoria Collection.
