Description

LARGE IMMACULATE HEART OF MARY MEDAL: A magnificent Medal of the Virgin Mary, hands covering her heart, with all the beauty of the period. Very gracious, and filled with adoration. Two rows of small stars surround her head creating a lovely halo and her arms are crossed in front of her heart in a position of humility. Her hair falls freely and little clouds frame the lower portion of her flowing garment. A rare find. Use on a rosary, chaplet or wear as a pendant on a chain.

NOTE: The position of her arms is a traditional prayer position and we see this devotional position in ‘pretzels’. many breads use religious themes. Another example Hot Cross Buns during Easter.

ABOUT OUR MEDALS:  All medals on our website are hand cast from antiques and vintage pieces in sterling silver and solid bronze then antiqued to restore original patina.
