GATE OF HEAVEN CENTER, CUTWORK OF JOSEPH HOLDING CHRIST CHILD AND LILY STAFF: This is an incredible antique piece that has been made into a rosary center and when used, even though it is large, works exceptionally well. Many of the older rosaries we see use larger centers. Symbolically it represents Joseph holding the child, Jesus (see lily staff). Mary arches over them as in the litany, “Gate of Heaven’.
