STS FRANCIS CROSS: A beautiful cross honoring St Francis. Reverse has a message in Italian (?) Unable to read it but does contain the "TAU" cross signature of Francis. Francis would sign his name this way with the vertical line of the cross planted in the symbolic skull of Adam in his grave. Christ is the 2nd Adam and it was believed that he was crucified over the grave of Adam, thus the name 'Plae of the Skull or Golgatha). Message on back may be a blessing (originally to bro Leo.) Use on chaplets dedicated to either saint or wear around the neck.
