AVE BEADS: 8mm Black Onyx stone beads to symbolize Sister Faustina?s garment as a member of the OLM community (Congregation of Our Lady of Mercy in Poland).
PATER BEADS: 12mm Faceted blue and ruby crystals (colors signified the blood and water that gushed forth from His side on Calvary (see Jn 19:34-35): and to remind us of the rays that came from the Sacred Heart of Jesus. Each bead framed with antiqued filigree caps.

SYMBOLISM OF THE TWO COLORS: (Red & Blue)
1. O Blood and Water, which gushed forth from the Heart of Jesus, as a fount of mercy for us, I trust in You. (Diary, entry 84; cf. 309).
2. When St. Faustina asked our Lord about the meaning of the rays, He answered her by telling her that they signified the blood and water that gushed forth from His side on Calvary (see Jn 19:34-35).
WHO WAS SAINT FAUSTINA? 1905-1938 (Poland) Congregation of Our Lady of Divine Mercy.On September 13 and 14th of 1935, Jesus gave Sister Faustina (Congregation of Our Lady of Mercy in Poland) words to pray. He spoke to her many times about these prayers and told her that there were promises attached. He said that it pleased him to grant everything asked of him that was within his will. He also told her that very special promises were given at the hour of death, such as the grace of conversion and a peaceful death.
