INFANT OF PRAGUE DEVOTIONAL CHAPLET

BEADS: A wonderful shade of ruby red for these rosebud beads – hard to find these days. Rosebuds seem to be the perfect choice along with the color for this chaplet dedicated to the Infant of Prague.

MEDAL: INFANT of PRAGUE – antique, Spain/unknown – (1 in.). Openwork allows the Infant to have a rich but simple frame.

Chaplet designed in the “all in one loop” for easier prayer.

In the mid 17th century, Venerable Margaret of the Blessed Sacrament was given this chaplet in honor of the Infant of Prague in a private revelation. Through her, the Child promised special graces of innocence and purity of heart for all who carried the chaplet on their person. This includes reciting it in honor of the mysteries of His holy infancy. It has become a worldwide devotion through the promotion of the Carmelites.

PATRON OF FAMILIES: The Infant of Prague is always shown with his left hand holding the world and his right hand raised in a blessing.  He is the patron of children and family life.  He is also the patron of foreign missions, colleges, good finances, health, peace, schools, travelers, universities, and vocations.

ABOUT OUR METALS: Hand cast from antique medal in sterling silver and solid bronze then antiqued to restore original patina.
