IRISH PENAL CRUCIFIX: A more contemporary version of the traditional Irish Penal Crucifix that dates back to the 1700s and the Penal times. The long narrow design was functional. It was hidden up the sleeve of the pray-er. 10 beads and a ring. Ring was passed from finger to finger secretly to complete the decades of the rosary.
