MARIE AZELIE MARTIN
AVES: 8mm antique (1920’s) handmade Japanese lampwork in a translucent cloud white
PATERS: 14mm Tablecut flowers of clear blue from Czechoslovakia with a heavenly gold aura in center and frame.

WHO WAS MARIE AZELIE MARTIN? LIFE / GIFTS: “heroic sanctity” . She desired to be a nun but could not because of illness. She married Louis Martin and had 9 children, 5 who became nuns and 4 who died infancy. Marie Azelie was the mother of Saint Therese de Lisieux. She died of breast cancer.
CAUSE FOR SAINTHOOD: Diocesan tribunal closing session (21 May 2013), regarding the healing of young girl. Her and her husband Martin’s file was sent to Rome for review by Congregation for Causes of Saints, recommending to Pope they be canonized
