THE NAME ~ STE ANNE The name Anna (Hebrew: Hannah) means “graciousness” in Hebrew – from the root word Hannan, “to be gracious.”). Patroness of mothers in labor and patroness of miners (since Christ is compared to gold and Mary to silver.) She also is the principal patron of the province of Quebec, where there is a shrine, St. Anne de Beaupre dedicated to her. She is the patroness of women in labour; and patroness of miners.

THE CHAPLET OF STE ANNE dates from 1875 and is prayed to honor Jesus, Mary and St Anne. It is also a powerful prayer for their intercession in spiritual and in spiritual and temporal needs of our day.
