STs MONICA AND AUGUSTINE CHAPLET

BEADS: Rare faceted cone shaped with a band of faceted glass to give the eye a place to rest. The design coming from antique glass bead molds. Although, new beads, they have been antiqued to appear old.

ST. MONICA: Golden topaz (Topaz) beads.

St. AUGUSTINE: Marian Blue (Cobolt) beads.

MEDAL:  Sts MONICA/AUGUSTINE – vintage, unknown – (1.5 in.)

Chaplet is made in the tradition of 3 sets of 3 beads.

ST MONICA (Feast day, August 27th) Patron saint of mothers, widows, wives, difficult marriages, alcoholism, victims of abuse, children who have gone astray, victims of adultery, unfaithfulness.

ST AUGUSTINE (Feast day, August 28th) Patron saint of brewers, printers, and theologians.

PRAYERS: On each set of 3 beads 1 each: Our Father Hail Mary Glory Be On the medal: ask for the intercession of Sts Monica and Augustine. Some people use this as a nine day novena by adding their petition at this time.
