VINTAGE CZECH ‘AB’ (Auroa Borealis) GLASS IN 2 COLORS – (est late 70s / 80s) Available in pk of 60. AB (Aurora Borealis) became popular in mid 50s through Dior and Swarovski. Created by applying a permanent micro-thin layer of silver/metal brushed on the surface of a glass bead giving it a rainbow iridescent finish. We tried several times to scan the AB finish but they would slip back. A few in each group without the brushed AB.

HISTORY: Recently our Czech vender released a series of old vintage 8mm round ‘DRUK’ beads. I remember seeing these in his collection from as early as the late 70’s to late 80s. He was cautious about dating them but felt they were at least pre late 80s. Some I cannot even find any more. Never to be seen again when gone.
