Description
DEDICATED TO HILDEGARD of BENGIN, SIBYL of the RHINE
AVE BEADS: Because our God spoke the earth into being, we chose 8mm brown carved wood to reflect the earth.
PATER BEADS: The old faceted Paters are a rare and beautiful heavenly color, one side is iridescent as seen in image above. Each translucent sea green color adds to the rare beauty of the symbolic choices.
CRUCIFIX: ART NOUVEAU – Europe / late19c – (3 in.)
Made in the traditional “all in one loop” design without a center piece.
HER LIFE: Saint Hildegard of Bingen, O.S.B. (German: Hildegard von Bingen; Latin: Hildegardis Bingensis) (1098 – 17 September 1179, aged 81), Bingen am Rhein, County Palatine of the Rhine, Holy Roman Empire. She was also known as Sybil of the Rhine.
“BREATH of GOD II”
“Underneath all the texts, all the sacred psalms and canticles, these watery varieties of sounds and silences, terrifying, mysterious, whirling and sometimes gestating and gentle must somehow be felt in the pulse, ebb, and flow of the music that sings in me. My new song must float like a feather on the breath of God.”St Hildegard
