ST MICHAEL IMAGERY: Attacking Lucifer with a spear in his right hand (spear has a streamer with a red cross) and a green palm branch in the left. The Archangel Michael is especially considered to be the Guardian of the Orthodox Faith and a fighter against heresies.’ We are especially drawn to St Michael because of the direction of the world today. It is deeply encouraging to see so many people returning to the prayer of St Michael and the rosary – recognizing that the battle we are in, is not of the flesh but of the spirit – it is spiritual warfare and the prayers of the rosary are our most powerful weapon.

Saint Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle.Be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil.May God rebuke him, we humbly pray; and do Thou, O Prince of the Heavenly Host – by the Divine Power of God – cast into hell, satan and all the evil spirits, who roam throughout the world seeking the ruin of souls. Amen.
