Description

IMMACULATE CONCEPTION (Traditional upside down heart): These beautiful centers were very popular from about 1850 – 1880. We do not know why Our Lady is upside down unless it is to remind the wearer of the rosary as she would be seen better for devotional purposes. But that period of rosaries traditionally has this very popular upside down heart – helps one date the rosary. We were very pleased to find one that was not attached to a rosary as had been looking for one for quite awhile.
