AVE BEADS: 8m Aromatic sandalwood gives the hands of the pray-er a lingering reminder of prayer. The wood is simple, John Paul II was buried in a wooden coffin.

PATER BEADS: Hard to find rectangle shaped Fossilized Coral. See the touch of turquoise stones for Mary on either side, just like the Holy Father who reminded us that each day for us is “unrepeatable”.

CRUCIFIX:  DOVE CRUCIFIX – antique, Russia/19c or earlier – (3 in.)

CENTER: EUCHARIST – ANGELS – antique, Europe/early 1900s – (.75.in.)

CHAPLET CRUCIFIX:  HOLY FAMILY (crucifix) – vintage – Europe/unknown – (2 in.)

Wood of the Sandal Tree (India) which gives off an exquisite aroma when cut down in life. Used here as a symbol of the gift – like incense lifting in prayer, we see more clearly that which was given to us through the Holy Father in death. His life becomes richer for us as we realize he walked in Christ, a powerful advocate of truth, never leaving it behind for approval of a world that cried for an easier way.

ABOUT OUR MEDALS: All our medals are handcast from antiques and vintage pieces in sterling silver and solid bronze then antiqued to restore original patina.

The crucifix used on this rosary has the tools of crucifixion on one side and the dove on the top of the obverse side. His was a Spirit filled Papacy and his redemptive suffering at the end of his life was clearly a signal for us all.
