POLICE (Freedom Fighters series) THE NIGHT WATCH

AVE BEADS: BEADS FILLED WITH SYMBOLISM! Each 8mm Faceted sodalite bead reminds us of our police, the men and women in blue, Small touches of white gives a sense of honor from above as their work well done, benefits all of the community.

PATER BEADS: 12mm Antiqued metal filigree are a reminder of their badge of honor.

CRUCIFIX: DOVE CRUCIFIX – antique, Russia/19c or earlier – (3 in.).  A beautiful crucifix with its dove on the top like a protector. The reverse shows the symbols of the crucifixion.

CENTER: ST. MICHAEL – traditional, late 19-20c – (1 in. )

HISTORY: In 1626, the New York City Sheriff’s Office was founded. In 1635, the Town of Boston started its first “Night Watch”. The first local modern police department established in the United States was the Boston Police Department in 1838, followed by the New York City Police Department in 1845. Early on, police were not respected by the community, as corruption was rampant. In the late 19th and early 20th century, there were few specialized units in police departments.

Ask for their intercession as they are all powerful prayer warriors to this day as members of the Mystical Body of Christ, the Cloud of Witnesses and members of the communion of saints.
