ROSE CROSS OF LISIEUX – France/early 1900s (2.5 in.) – CROT.1

  • Description

ROSE CROSS of LISIEUX:  A treasured find!  A cross made up of precious rosebuds to remind us of the heavenly flowers promised by the “Little Flower” herself!  Use this rare cross on a chaplet, rosary or wear as jewelry.  A tiny medal of Ste Therese of Liseaux sits in the middle and she is holding the crucifix for you!  We believe this rare and beautiful cross may be as early as the turn of the century (1900 1910).

ABOUT THE LITTLE SAINT: Sainte Therese de Lisieux was born January 2, 1873, lived a short life, dying September 30, 1897.  She was known as “Sainte Therese del Enfant-Jesus et de la Sainte Face” (“Sainte Therese of the Child Jesus and of the Holy Face”).  She was born Marie-Franeoise-Therese Martin and was a Roman Catholic Carmelite nun who was canonized as a saint.  She is one of the few saints recognized as a “Doctor of the Church.” She is also known by many as “The Little Flower of Jesus.”
